Corn Biscuits and Apple Sauce - a treat in a frying pan

Ingredients:
Biscuit mix [flours (hard whole, whole wheat, corn, soy), skim milk, sugar, cornmeal, egg, baking powder (no alum), salt, cinnamon], applesauce powder [apple flakes, sugar, dried molasses, vinegar solids (dextrin, corn starch, white vinegar), lemon powder (corn syrup solids, lemon juice, lemon oil), corn starch, guar gum, spice], freeze dried corn, silicon dioxide to prevent caking.
Preparation:
1. Add 3/4 cup of cold water to each pack of the corn and let stand for 10 minutes to allow rehydration.

2. Add 1/2 cup of BOILING water to each pack of the sauce, mix well and let stand.

3. Add the flour to the corn and water, mix well and shape into desired number of biscuits.

4. Place biscuits into a well greased pan (Harvest Vegetable Shortening is handy for this) and cook over a medium heat. Turn the biscuits over several times to avoid burning.

5. Serve the biscuits and spoon the applesauce over each. Enjoy !
